How we handle the information you share with us.

How Playhouse Moving LLC ("we"), based in Austin, Texas, collects, uses, and shares information when you visit playhousemoving.com (the "Site"), request a quote, call or text us, or use our moving services.
1. Information we collect
What you give us on our quote form or by phone, text, or email: name, phone, email, addresses or ZIP codes, move date, and move details; anything else you write. Please don't send Social Security, bank or card numbers, or health information through the Site. Collected automatically: our providers may collect IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and approximate location via cookies and similar technologies (section 5).
2. How we use information
To prepare your quote; to schedule, perform, and follow up on your move; to call, text, and email you about it (section 4); to understand how the Site is used and improve it; to keep required records, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share it only: with service providers that may use it only to serve us: quote form and moving software (CRM), where quote requests are stored: SmartMoving; phone calls and text messages: our business phone and messaging provider; email: our email provider; website hosting: Replit; analytics: Google Analytics 4; embedded content: Google Maps. When you ask us to; for legal reasons (law, court order, or to protect rights and safety); in a business transfer, where the new owner must honor this policy.
4. Text messages (SMS) and calls
Playhouse Moving texts about your quote, move, and service. We text you only if you give us your number and agree to be contacted, or text us first. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop texts, or opt out any other reasonable way; we honor opt-outs promptly (within 10 business days at most) and may send one final confirmation text. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (737) 285-5900 or info@playhousemoving.com. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or text-messaging opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes; it is shared only with the service providers that deliver our messages. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Cookies, analytics, and tracking
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies today. Analytics: Google Analytics 4 measures how visitors use the Site; you can opt out with Google's add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Embedded content: Google Maps, the SmartMoving quote form; when a page shows them, those providers may set their own cookies and receive your IP address and browser information under their own policies. We do not use advertising pixels or ad-retargeting tags on the Site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may then not work. Do Not Track: there is no common standard for responding to browser Do Not Track signals, and the Site does not currently change its behavior in response to them. Third parties named above, such as Google and SmartMoving, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site.
6. Email
We email you about your quote and move. Any marketing email will include an unsubscribe link and our mailing address; we honor unsubscribes within 10 business days.
7. How long we keep information
We keep quote requests and customer records only as long as needed for these purposes, or longer where the law requires (for example, tax records). Analytics data follows our Google Analytics retention setting. Then we delete, destroy, or anonymize it.
8. How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards for a business of our size: HTTPS on the Site, access limited to people who need it, password-protected accounts, and secure disposal of old records. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we'll notify you and required agencies as the law requires.
9. Your choices and requests
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we have about you, to correct it, to delete it (except what we must keep for legal, tax, or contract reasons), or to stop marketing texts or emails. Email info@playhousemoving.com, call (737) 285-5900, or write to {{MAILING_ADDRESS}}. We may verify your identity first and normally respond within 45 days. We won't treat you differently for asking.
10. Children's privacy
The Site is meant for adults and not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information; if a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Links to other websites
Other sites we link to (such as Google and review sites) follow their own privacy policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We'll post any new version here with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes we'll give more prominent notice and, where required, ask for consent.
13. Texas residents
We do not sell personal data, including sensitive personal data (such as precise location or health information). If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first. We send marketing text messages only to people who have agreed to receive them. If a security breach involves your personal information, we will notify you, and the Texas Attorney General where required, within the time Texas law requires.
